2020/21 Community and Business Support Grants
Hednesford Town Council is launching three grant initiatives for 2020/21 to support the remarkable work of the groups, organisations and businesses based in Hednesford.
The application form is the same for all three grants and will be allocated to the most appropriate fund. Community groups, organisations and businesses can apply for grants up to a maximum of £500.00. Supplementary funding may be considered if it can be demonstrated that the project or improvement would make a significant difference and where match-funding is in place
Details
Grant 1) £7,500 for Climate Emergency grants for local community groups / organisations
Potential projects may include but are not limited to:
- Decrease waste campaign
- Litter picking equipment
- Online education workshops
- Orchard or allotment development
- Re-use scheme i.e. recycle discarded products
- Bike maintenance / education sessions
- Food – how to cook meals out of limited resource sessions
- Art-mural / film relating to climate / environment
- Improve green areas i.e. forest school area
- Green initiatives
Grant 2) £7,500 for Covid-19 Recovery Grants for local community groups / organisations
Potential projects may include but are not limited to:
- Online meeting platforms such as Zoom / internet connection
- PPE to aid covid-19 safety measures i.e. plastic screens
- Support the added costs of a venue
- Group counselling sessions
- Job coaches to assist with re-skilling
- This fund does not cover staff wages or issues related to staffing costs
GRANT 3) £10,000 for Business Support Grants for local businesses
Potential projects may include but are not limited to:
- Improving shop / business frontage
- Repair or reinstatement of a shop / business front fixture
- External lighting
- Repainting of shop front
- Shop / business improvement
- New signage
- Creating an online presence for your business
- Adapting to new ways of operating post-Covid i.e. click and collect / delivery
- Event to promote your area / sector
